Today we gather together to worship our Lord and Savior. We will read scripture together, sing hymns and be taught. Our time together will be peaceful as we focus on our thankfulness to God for all he has done for us.It is a day of unity under God. Each day should be the same....worshipping the Lord, letting his word dwell in us, teaching and admonishing each other in wisdom, praising him in song and being grateful for our blessings. I have to pause at the phrase, teaching and admonishing each other in wisdom. Do I live these words? Do I let the peace of Christ rule in my heart each day or just on Sunday?
"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:14-17
