Accepting Your Award

What's it like to stand on a platform in front of a large group of people to accept a reward for a job well dome? What's it like to hear the roar of the crowd as you accept an honor you have earned? Do you work for the applause and recognition or do you work because you love what you are doing? Is your reward a raise, a promotion or just a pat on the back? Who do you want most to impress, to win their favor? What is the best reward you can receive? What must you do to acheive it?
You may never stand before and audience. You may never speak a thank you into a microphone. You may never have a plaque preented in your honor or your name on a wall of recognition. But you can still be an honoree, a winner, an accomplished person.
"Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man."
Proverbs 3:3-4 (NIV)
