Godly Fitness

Do you know anyone who is addicted to physical fitness training? It is very important that we keep our bodies fit. It keeps our minds alert and active, too. But it is also as important that we are trained in values related to godliness? The results of our physical training end when our life ends, but the godly values we uphold take us on through the life to come. Continue to work on bodily fitness, but do not neglect godly fitness. This includes the values of loving others as God loved us, fitness of mind and spirit to read God's word, to live according to God's word and to spread God's word. What training do you need to add to your fitness routine?

"Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness;  for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." 1 TIM 4:7-8
